I recently had an author, Todd Walton (Mendocino, CA wonderful novelist, I recommend his works highly: underthetablebooks.com
Back to Todd, he used one of my paintings (minus the story I have on it) for the cover of his latest CD: The Nature of Love. You'll see it for sale on his website. I thank him for using it. He even paid me for usage. Wow.
If you check my 'latest work' and 'repetitive print paintings' you'll see that my new work is pictured in both areas. Can't help myself from using more and more of those circles and dots. They resonate with me. And I have to thank Samuel T. Herring (lead singer and songwriter and poet for Future Islands) for the titles on those new pieces.
I am working toward a two person show with Bill Sortino of Santa Fe (one of those old pals o'mine) at the Wheelhouse Art Gallery in Santa Fe in the spring. No firm date set yet. Then another solo exhibition at the Blue Dome Gallery in Silver City. The owners, Linda and John have been so good to me over the years I've shown with them. They recently sold one of my paintings right off the wall of their other business The Bear Mountain Lodge in Silver City. LOVELY place to stay and the best breakfasts in town!
So, that's it for now. Except for two December shows of small 'toy' themed pieces for Wheelhouse Art in Santa Fe. Ant Unsettled Gallery in Las Cruces. I will be at the Las Cruces opening but not the Santa Fe one. Both should be full of beautiful and fun work. Go to one or both if you please! I'll post one of my toy themed paintings: SWIMMER, 8x8" acrylic on panel...seen in Santa Fe.
