Here are just a few pictures of the exhibition Reduction&Form at Wheelhouse Art in Santa Fe. These pictures were taken pre-opening/pre-people. Paintings by me and an old pal, Bill Sortino. Notice how his 'masculine' pieces, heavy with color, make my paintings look 'feminine' with that lightness of being. A good contrast methinks. I must admit I'd never thought of my work in a gender mode, but next to Bill's...it shows. I didn't get all the pieces I wanted up in the exhibit...the gallery would have had to expand for that. But hopefully, they will show the other pieces throughout the year. They hang a good, clean exhibit and I'm happy. It will be up until May 25th so make a trip to the gallery if you're anywhere near.
